NEW ORLEANS, LA- The Generals fall to Loyola in Series
After a great start to the season, the Generals were defeated by the 23rd-ranked Wolf Pack, who took the series 3-0 at Segnette Field.Ā
After Fridays 3-1 loss for the Generals, LSUA were hoping to bounce back. There were some early signs of a series fight back for the Generals, as both teams traded a couple of runs in the first 4 innings as the score was tied up at 2-2.
Julien Kliebert and
Zach Mengarelli got home for the Generals, but Loyola proceeded to take over, and win the game 6-2. Loyola scored in four straight innings in the middle of the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, extending their lead to as large as 8-1 by the seventh inning. Loyola took the second game 8-4, with
Jordan Ardoin,
Jack Whitaker,
Hayes Trahan and
Julien Kliebert getting home for the Generals.
The Generals will be playing in the Cajun CollisionĀ tournament starting Thursday, February 9th. The Generals will take on Baker University at 6:00PM inĀ Sterlington, LA.
