TEXARKANA, TX- The Generals met up with conference leaders, the Eagles of Texas A&M Texarkana, falling short 84-64.
The Generals came out flat during the first half of play only scoring 18 points between the first two periods compared to 47 the Eagles were able to put up.
When the second half of play started, the Generals came out with a spark trying to overcome the deficit from the first half. In the 3
rd quarter, the Generals were able to outscore the Eagles 27-22, and, in the 4th, quarter were able to outscore them 20-15.
Transfer for the Generals,
Jade Brumfield, had a break out game against the Eagles leading in scoring with 15 points. Brumfield went 5-8 from the field, 1-2 from the three-point range, and 4-5 from the free-throw line.
Raegan Ojoro was also able to get into double digits with 14 points and led the team in rebounds grabbing 7 of the Generals 31 boards.
Generals will be back in action at the Fort on February 7
th at 5:00 PM against LSUS.
