Alexandria, LA- The Generals met up with the Bulldogs to continue conference play for the 2023 season. After a scoreless 4 innings, it was the Bulldogs who were able to get on the scoreboard first, but a solo homerun from
Cameron Daigle in the 6
th inning, gave the Generals the spark they needed to get the win in game one of the series, run rule style.
After seeing cold bats from the Generals in the first 5 innings, bats began to heat up after Daigle gave the Generals their first run of the game in the 6
th inning. The Generals then went on to putting up 5 more runs in the 6
th with the help of doubles from both Tinnerello and Guilbeau.
However, the Generals weren't done as Foote came up to the plate in the 7
th inning sending one over the fence, and Guilbeau made it a homerun party as he had a solo shot of his own. Going into the 8
th inning leading 7-1 the Generals 4 added runs, and Daigle was able to score on a wild pitch calling ball game.
Seth Trahan was able to get the win on the mound for the Generals as he pitched 7 innings allowing only 3 hits and striking out 8 batters.
The Generals will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday March 19
th to finish out their series with the Bulldogs in double-header action. First pitch is set for 12 PM at Holy Savior Menard High School.
