Natchitoches, LA- Generals Fall to Strong Northwestern Team

It was always going to be an uphill battle for the Generals as they went head to head with a division one team, but they gave their all and matched the Demons for a lot of the game. 

The Demons started well and took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Generals replied in the top of the second as they got on the scoreboard for the first time. The highly rated Blaise Foote stepped up and hit a big home run to left field. It was unfortunate for the Generals that no bases were occupied. 

The Generals didn't give up any runs in the second inning, but in the bottom of the 3rd the demons added 2 more runs to their tally, and made it 4-1. The Generals answered back again in the 4th inning as Keegan Garcia singled to left center, Austin Manuel advanced to 2nd, and Peyton Marcantel got home to make it 4-2.

Unfortunately for LSUA the Demons went on to score 8 more unanswered runs, and the final score was was Northwestern 12-3 LSUA.

Next up for the Generals is a trip to Texas to take on Texas A&M Texarkana in a 3 game series. The first game is on Saturday, March 25 at 1:00 PM.
