Texarkana, TX-Ā Generals Take Two Games in High Scoring SeriesĀ
Game 1:
LSUA got off to a terrible start and gave up 10 runs in the first 2 innings with no reply. In the top of the 4th, the Generals started to fight back.
Blaise Foote got the Generals on the scoreboard as he got home from third base off an error by the short stop.
Keegan Garcia then singled to get
Jordan Ardoin home.
Alex Guilbeau hit a huge double to get
Keegan Garcia and
Joshua TinnerelloĀ home.
Blaise Foote, who got the first score of the inning, contributed heavily once again. Foote stepped up and hit a triple to get
Cameron Daigle,
Zach Mengarelli and
Julien KliebertĀ home. Remarkably, the score was now LSUA 7-10 Texarkana.Ā
In the top of the 5th the Generals got back to work again.
Alex GuilbeauĀ doubled which got
Dominic Thibodeaux and
Joshua Tinnerello home.
Keegan Garcia then tied the game as
Julien Kliebert sacrificed himself. The Generals then took the lead as
Zach Mengarelli doubled and
Alex Guilbeau scored.
Blaise Foote then returned the favor as he hit a single to get
Zach Mengarelli home. The Generals were now leading 12-10, and they extended their lead in the top of the 6th.
Alex Guilbeau grounded out to short stop which got
Dominic Thibodeaux home.
Zach Mengarelli then hit a double to get
Julien Kliebert home. Texarkana made it 14-12 in the bottom of the 6th, but LSUA closed the game with one more
Blaise Foote score and some strong closing pitches. Final score LSUA 15-12 Texarkana.
Brandon Noel pitched really well for the Generals.Ā
Game 2:
LSUA had a better start this time around as they were the aggressors early on.
Jordan Ardoin flied out to left field but
Zach MengarelliĀ managed to get home.
Joshua Tinnerello then singled to get
Cameron Daigle home which gave the Generals a 2-0 lead.Ā
Texarkana made in 2-1 in the bottom of the 1st, but LSUAĀ extended their lead in the top of the 2nd.
Zach Mengarelli hit a single to get
Peyton Marcantel and
Keegan Garcia home. In the top of the 3rd, the Generals made it 5-1 as
Dominic ThibodeauxĀ singled and
Jordan Ardoin got home.Ā
Texarkana fought back and tied the game by the end of the 4th inning.Ā
In the top of the 5th LSUA retook the lead as
Peyton Marcantel singled and
Jordan Ardoin scored. Texarkana tied the game in the bottom of the 6th, and that was the last score until overtime. In the 10th inning Texarkana managed to find 1 more score and win the game. Final score LSUA 6-7 Texarkana.Ā
Game 3:Ā
The Generals once again started strongly and they took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd.
Julien Kliebert singled and
Alex Guilbeau scored.
Zach MengarelliĀ grounded out to 3rd base but
Julien Kliebert managed to sprint home. In the top of the third,
Keegan Garcia hit a monster of a home run to get
Dominic ThibodeauxĀ and
Joshua Tinnerello home. In the top of the 4th LSUA took an 8-0 lead.
Jordan Ardoin singled which was enough to get
Zach Mengarelli and
Julien Kliebert home. An error by the short stop then lead to
Cameron Daigle getting home.Ā
Texarkana brought it back to 8-4, but the Generals did not stop scoring. In the top of the 6th
Cameron Daigle hit a homer to make it 9-4.
Joshua TinnerelloĀ then singled to allow
Jordan Ardoin to score.
Keegan Garcia then hit a single of his own to get
Joshua Tinnerello home.
Blaise Foote put the nail in the coffin as he hit a huge homer in the top of the 7th to get
Cameron Daigle home.
William Vice and
Cameron Daigle pitched strongly for the Generals. Final Score LSUA 13-6 Texarkana.Ā
