Generals Keep the Brooms Out

Alexandria, LA- Make that 10 straight wins in a row for the Generals as they get the sweep over Huston Tillotson and continue their run-in conference play.
 
Game one: LSUA 4, HT 2
 
Taylor Spencer able to get the win in the circle and start things off for the Generals to get them on the board as her single to right field brought St. Julien home. After Spencer's spark for the Generals, they were able to score 3 more runs to put them up 4-0 against the Rams. 
 
The Generals and Rams remained scoreless up until the 6th inning, where the Rams scored two runs, however, General defense held strong only allowing those two runs. 
 
Game two: LSUA 11, HT 3
 
Bats were hot for the Generals in game two as Ke'Asia St. Julien homered in the first inning putting the Generals up 3-1. However, St. Julien wasn't the only General to send one out of the park as Tia Holmes stepped up to the plate in the 3rd inning sending one over the fence putting the Generals up 6-1. 
 
The ball game ended in the 6th inning as the Rams were only able to answer the Generals with three runs. Katherine Atkins, Tia Holmes, and Ke'Asia St. Julien all had a day at the plate going 3 for 4. 
 
Outside of Holmes dominate performance at the plate, she also had a big day in the circle as she pitched all six innings allowing seven hits with 6 strikeouts. 
 
The Generals, now 11-3 in RRAC play, will be back in action at home for double-header action against the Jaguars of the University of Houston-Victoria on April 1st. The first pitch is set for 12:00 PM.
