GULF SHORES, AL- The Generals wrapped up their run at the Gulf Shores Invitational on Sunday taking on the Koalas of Columbia College and the Wildcats of Baker University.Ā

In game one of the morning the Generals took on the Koalas of Columbia College, grabbing the win 4-2 with
Savannah Boyd on the mound.
Jillian Howell able to put the ball in motion for the Generals as her line out to center field in the first inning scoredĀ
Amber GiddensĀ giving the Generals the lead of 1-0. The Koalas were able to put up twp runs of their own in the second and thirdĀ inning, but the Generals were able to hold them to just those two run.Ā Ā Then here comesĀ Howell again in the 6th inning as she smacked one out of the park with a 2-run homer sealing the win for the Generals.

Game two against the Wildcats of Baker University ended in just five innings as the Generals could not get the bats going compared to the Wildcats who were able to put up four runs in the 2
ndĀ inning, two in fourth inning, and 4 more again in the 5
th. The Generals with a total of two hits for the game, dropped this one to Baker, 10-0.

Overall, after a long weekend of softball, the Generals were able to leave the Invitational with a 3-3 record.Ā

The Generals will be back in action March 10
thĀ for a double header of conference play against cross town Red River rivals, the LCU Wildcats in Pineville, LA.Ā
