New Orleans, LA- The Generals moved to a 10-6 conference record after they took game one, 7-4, from Xavier.
Cameron Daigle was able to get the win on the mound as he pitched seven innings, allowing six hits, and striking out seven batters.
The Generals were able to get the bats going in the first inning of play as
Jordan Ardoin's single brought in
Blaise Foote putting the Generals up 1-0.
Moving into later innings, the Generals and Gold Rush were tied up at 2 until the Generals brought in 3 runs during the fifth inning, gaining the lead back and a little room to breathe.
As the 9
th and final inning of the game came around, the Generals had a 7-3 lead over the Gold Rush. The Gold Rush were able to bring in one more run, before the defense stepped up to get the final out.
Overall, the Generals were able outhit Xaiver 13-8 and managed to steal six bases compared to the Gold Rush's one.

st in double header action with the first game starting at 2:00 PM down in New Orleans.
