The Generals were red hot today and added two important victories to their tally.

Game 1: LSUA started strongly in game 1, as
Blaise Foote singled and
Cameron Daigle got home to make it 1-0.
Jordan Ardoin then stepped up and hit a bomb of a home run to left field which also got
Blaise Foote home.
In the top of the 2
nd, Southwest fought back and scored 5 times. The Generals needed to reply and they did.
Julien Kliebert hit a double to right field, and
Joshua Tinnerello sprinted to make it 4-5.
Zach Mengarelli then hit a single to get
Blaise Foote home and tie the game.
The next run also came from the Generals in the bottom of the 4
th.
Zach Mengarelli singled to center field and
Alex Guilbeau scored to give LSUA the lead. In the top of the 7
th Southwest regained their advantage and made it 6-7.
In the bottom of the 7
th, the outstanding
Blaise Foote hit a bomb to right field, and with some sharp sprinting and fielding errors, Foote made it all the way around to make it 7-7.
Jordan Ardoin and
Bryson Broussard then hit a couple of crucial singles, which allowed
Trace Galloway to get home and give the Generals a huge victory. Final score LSUA 8-7 USW.
Game 2: LSUA once again started strongly in game 2.
Jordan Ardoin hit a double to left field and
Blaise Foote scored.
Bryson Broussard then returned the favor for
Jordan Ardoin to make it 2-0 to the Generals.
In the bottom of the 3
rd,
Bryson Broussard hit a single once again to get
Cameron Daigle home. Southwest responded with 2 runs of their own in the 4
th inning to make in 3-2. They then tied the game in the top of the 5
th. The Generals responded in the bottom of the 5
th as
Blaise Foote tripled to Center field and
Cameron Daigle scored.
In the bottom of the 6
th, the Generals all but secured their victory.
Bryson Broussard made it 5-3 after
Zach Mengarelli walked.
Cameron Daigle then stepped up and hit a grand slam home run to make it 9-3.
Southwest put two runs on the board in the top of the 7
th.
Peyton Marcantel responded with a huge home run, which got
Keegan Garcia home and made it 11-5. The Generals gave up three late runs but it was not enough to change the outcome. Final score LSUA 11-8 USW.
