Generals Fall to USAO in Season Opener

CHICKASHA, OKLAHOMA- The Generals started off the 2023 season on the road taking on the NO. 23 Ranked Drovers of the University of the Science and Arts of Oklahoma, falling 6-1. 
 
The Drovers did not hold back as they scored three of their six goals in the first half of play, and it wasn't until the second half before the Generals could find a rhythm on the field to answer back as returner Theresa Langauer was able to score the Generals one goal of the game assisted by Alexia Bermejo. LSUA had many opportunities to come out on top as they attempted 12 shots, with 6 on target. 
 
"Disappointing result and performance today.", said Coach Hammond, "We didn't show what we are capable of, and we're punished by a very good side. We'll evaluate over the next day or so and get back to work on Monday."
 
Up next for the Generals is the University of Mobile who will be visiting Alexandria on Saturday, August 26th. Kick off for the Generals and Rams is set for 1:00 PM.
