ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals, now 1-2, kicked off Labor Day weekend on the pitch taking on the Eagles of Williams Baptist, falling 1-0.

Williams Baptist got started early as they managed to get one past
Valeriu Tarlev within the first 6 minutes of play. Neither team were able to connect as they played through the rainy conditions, going into halftime with only one goal scored.Ā

Coming out of half, just as the Generals were started to find a rhythm and gaining momentum, a lightning delay occurred sending both teams inside for thirty minutes.Ā

Within the last final seconds of the game, Generals
Daniel Torrenegra, saw a chance to tie up the game on a penalty kick, however the Eagles keeper had the save to keep the Generals scoreless and securing the win.

"Hard one to swallow losing a game we should have taken something from", said Coach Young, "Played very well in moments but not taking our chances came back to haunt us again. We will get back in tomorrow, reset and prepare to right our wrongs on Monday".

The Generals will look to get back into the win column as they take on Bethel University on Monday, September 4
