NEW ORLEANS, LA- The Generals headed down to New Orleans, LA to take on one of the two last teams in conference that had an undefeated conference record, leaving with the upset of a 58-49 victory.
Although the game was tight from the start, the Generals came alive during the second half of play, playing smarter, and making the right shot selection while crashing the boards.
Jewel Jones found her rhythm from three going 2-3 from behind the arch on the night and draining in 14 points total. Ojoro, double-double queen, also followed Jones' suit by scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Taking it "one quarter and one game at a time" as Coach Perkins says, has been the key for this Generals team as they now move to 2
nd place in RRAC standings.
The Generals continue conference play on the road, one last time before returning to The Fort, by heading to Houston, TX to take on the Stallions of North American University. Tip-off on Saturday, January 13
th is set for 2:00 PM.
