Generals Drop Heartbreaker to Pilots

ALEXANDRIA, LA-In a match up between the #2 Generals and #1 Pilots, the Generals played hard all 40 minutes, coming up short 73-74, moving to 10-2 in conference play and 13-4 overall. 

Despite the strong start from the Generals as they lead for the first 3 quarters of play, the Pilots were able to make use of free-throws and bench players that were able to put of 49 on the 74 points in the 4th quarter as the Generals could not get the last chance shot to fall in for the win. 

Junior guard, Jewel Jones, poured in 20 points as she drained in 4 three pointers. Three other Generals also saw double-digits on the night. 

Next up the Generals will be back at home for a conference match up with the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana before getting back on the road.

Tip off at The Fort between the Generals and Eagles will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 27th.
