ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team heads on the road for a pair of Red River Athletic Conference matches this week against Our Lady of the Lake University and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
"Massive road trip this week to San Antonio," LSUA Head Coach
Mark Hammond said. "We know we're in for two really competitive games. At this stage of the season there are no guarantees so we know we have to be at our best to come away with the results we are looking for."
The Generals (6-5-2, 5-2-2 RRAC) were 1-1-0 last week. They lost a close 1-0 battle to Houston-Victoria before picking up a 6-0 win over Huston-Tillotson University on Saturday, 6-0, in their final regular season home match.
RRAC TABLE UPDATE
With just two weeks left in the regular season, LSUA sits in seventh in the conference table with 17 points.
Behind the Generals is Texas A&M-San Antonio with 13 points. Ahead of LSUA in sixth is Houston-Victoria at 18 points. Jarvis Christian sits in ninth place with 10 points. OLLU is currently fifth in the table with 19 points.
The Generals have a possible 12 points remaining in regular season.
SCOUTING OUR LADY OF THE LAKE
The Saints are 7-3-2 on the season and 6-2-1 in RRAC play. They are 3-0-0 at home. Last week, OLLU defeated North American University 6-0 after drawing against Xavier, 1-1.
Lyndee Rheinberger leads the Saints' offense with six goals. She has recorded six assists as well, a team-high, for 15 total points. Leah Tapia has registered 12 points (5G+2A=12TP). Tapia leads the Saints with two game-winning goals. OLLU has scored a total of 29 goals on 116 shots on goal.
Samantha Valdez has handled the majority of games in goal for the Saints, making nine starts. In 11 appearances she has allowed 13 goals and made 46 saves for a goals against average of 1.37. OLLU holds a goals against average of 1.08 as a unit with 13 goals allowed.
The Generals are 2-8-1 all-time against the Saints. LSUA won the last meeting between the two sides in October of 2023, 4-1.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-SAN ANTONIO
The Jaguars are 4-6-1 on the season with a 4-4-1 record in RRAC matches. They are 1-1-1 at home. The Jaguars split their matches last week, nabbing a 6-1 victory over North American before falling 2-0 to Xavier.
Ana Barragan leads the Jaguars' offense with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. She leads TAMUSA in all three categories. Skylar Parker has netted six goals and one assist for 13 points. Samara Lopez and Kenia Bustos have both tallied five goals. The Jaguars have scored 32 goals, all coming in RRAC play.
In goal, Maram Abdeljaber and Isabella Villarreal have split the goalkeeping duties. Abdeljaber has recorded eight starts and allowed 17 goals, while making 39 saves. Villarreal has made three starts and seven appearances. She ahs allowed 15 goals and made 24 saves. The Jaguars hold a goals against average of 3.05.
The Generals are 3-1-0 against TAMUSA since 2021. LSUA has won the last three meetings between the two sides.
