PREVIEW | Men's Basketball Welcomes Texas College in RRAC Contest

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's basketball team hosts Texas College in a Red River Athletic Conference match-up.
 
"Another big-time match-up for us on Tuesday night," LSUA Head Coach Dimario Jackson said. "Texas College is physical, they rebound offensively well. They have guards that can get hot. We have to be ready to play. We have to be the more disciplined team and we have to be the tougher team."
 
The Generals (5-0, 2-0 RRAC) are coming off a pair of RRAC wins last week against Jarvis Christian and Texas A&M-Texarkana.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS COLLEGE
The Steers are 1-1 on the season. Texas College opened the season with an 82-78 loss against the University of Science and Arts, before beating Arlington Baptist 65-50.
 
Domonique Perry led the Steers with 22 points the University of Science and Arts. He went 6-for-9 from the field and was 9-for-12 at the free throw line. Perry led the Steers with six assists. He also recorded a team-high four steals. Ty'Quan Neal tallied 17 points, shooting 5-for-8 from the field and 7-for-10 at the charity stripe. Jacob Keys came off the bench for the Steers and scored 14 points. He knocked down a trio of shots from deep. The Steers shot 44.8 percent as a unit, but went just 5-for-24 from long range. They recorded 36 rebounds, 10 of which came off the offensive glass.
 
The Generals are 17-1 all-time against Texas College. They split the season series in 2023-24, 1-1. The Generals recorded an 80-78 victory in February at The Fort.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM in The Fort on Tuesday, November 19.
