Generals Score 46 Runs in Conference Opener Against Texas College

ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals opened Red River Athletic Conference play at home taking on the Steers of Texas College in double-header fashion with game three set to follow on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00 PM.

Game one: LSUA 16, TC 0
The Generals got the bat started early in the first inning with the help of a 3-run homer from Jaxon Benard after Labruyere came in to put the first run on the board.

With the 4-0 lead, the Generals didn't let up adding seven runs in the second inning and five more in the third. From there the bats went cold, but Slone Greaves, Rene Solis Jr., and Austin Lorenz took care of business on the mound allowing only four hits for the Steers.

Game two: LSUA 30, TC 2
In game two, the Generals touched home in every single inning of play putting up 30, yes 30 runs as many Generals got the chance to touch the field. Derin Doucet and Dominic Thibodeaux each had shots out of the park for game two. Thibodeaux, with an all-over good day at the plate, went 3-4 at the plate with 6 RBIs.

The Steers saw four different General pitchers, but it was Will Vice who got the win on the mound as he pitched four innings, striking out seven, and allowing only two hits as he faced 18 batters.

The Generals will wrap their series with Texas College on Saturday, February 17th. First pitch is at 2:00 PM.
