ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals continued Red River Athletic Conference play with a match up with the No. 3 Ranked Pilots of LSUS who were on an 11-game win streak before meeting up with the Generals and falling 10-0.
GAME ONE: LSUA 10, LSUS 0
Slone Greaves took the mound for the Generals in game one, pitching the full game allowing only three hits and no runs from the Pilots. Greaves also struck out five of the 26 batters faced.
With Greaves taking care of business on the mound, the team just had to get the bats rolling which sparked in the 4
th inning as the Generals put up four runs. Then, in the 8
th inning, the Generals would go on to put up six more unanswered runs.
Foote, Mengarelli, Dugas, and
Dominic Thibodeaux all had big at bats on the day.
The Generals will continue this three-game series with the Pilots in double-header action on Saturday, February 24
th. First pitch of game one will be thrown at 12:00 PM.
