STERLINGTON, LA - The Generals take game one at the Cajun Collision tournament against a strong Bryan College team.
LSUA started brightly today and they instantly took the lead in the bottom of the 1st.
Jaxon Bernard stepped up and hit a single to get
Zach Mengarelli home for the first run scored of the day. LSUA then caught fire and heavily extended their lead in the bottom of the 3rd.
Peyton Marcantel singled to left field which got
Blaise Foote home to make it 2-0.
Jaxon Bernard then returned the favor by hitting a single to left field which allowed both
Keegan Garcia and
Peyton Marcantel to score a run each.
Jaxon Bernard was next to score for the Generals to make it 5-0 after just 3 innings. In the bottom of the 4th, the red hot Bernard hit another single to right field which got
Blaise Foote home to make it 6-0. In the bottom of the 5th, LSUA would score their 7th and final run as
Zach Mengarelli reached first on an error, and
Julien Kliebert scored. Bryan College went on to score three times towards the end of the game but it was not enough. LSUA came out victorious by a score of 7-3.
Next up tomorrow for the Generals is Central Methodist (12:30PM), followed by Oregan Tech (6:30PM).
