ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals and Gold Nuggets of Xavier University took the court to battle for who would be the #2 and #3 in RRAC Standings. The Generals fell short 55-64, falling to the #3 spot and moving to 13-3 in conference play.
The Generals didn't see their best shooting in the first quarter of play as they only scored 7 points compared to the Gold Nuggets 20. However, they came into the 2
nd quarter of play matching Xavier's 16 points but trailed 23-36 at the half.
Despite cutting down a 21-point Xavier lead in the second half of play, the Generals would fall short.
Dannah Martin-Hartwick and
Benedetta Peracchi both saw double-digit figures for the Generals on the night.
The Generals will look to bounce back against North American Saturday, February 10
th at home in The Fort. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
