ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals have moved to an overall record of 23-11 and 11-5 in conference play after hosting the No.1 ranked Saints of Our Lady of the Lake, falling in both games of the double-header series.
GAME ONE: LSUA 0, OLLU 6
The Generals struggled at the plate in game one as they only saw 6 hits and left 8 on base. Struggling to find their rhythm, the Saints went up early on, scoring 4 of their six runs in the first inning of play.
GAME TWO: LSUA 1, OLLU 3
In game two of the double-header, things seemed to be looking in favor of the Generals as Primrose came out dominating in the circle and
Haley Fontenot bringing in the first run of the game in the first inning.
Pitching one of her best games,
Haley Primrose held the Saints scoreless until the 4
th inning where they went up 2-1. Primrose pitched all seven innings allowing only four hits and striking out 7.
Next up the Generals will be back at home for another double-header match up with the Texas A&M San Antonio Jaguars on Saturday, April 6
th. First pitch of game one is at 12:00 PM.
