ALEXANDRIA, LA- The Generals came alive in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament winning all four games, rightfully earning the title of Conference Tournament Champions.
The Generals matched up with the Saints of OLLU once again after they defeated TAMUT for a shot in the title game.
Haley Primrose took a break from the circle and played the position of DP getting things started in the first inning of play as she doubled to left field bringing around Fontenot for the first run of the game. The Generals went on to score big in the third inning of play taking on four more runs, making it a 5-0 game but the Saints lone run came in during the fourth inning of play.
After tacking in one more during the 6
th inning the Generals able to continue playing solid defense, eventually stormed the field with the 6-1 win.
However, you have to give credit to
Taylor Spencer who was unwavering in the circle in one of the biggest moments this season. Spencer pitched all seven innings only allowing 1 run.
The Generals only allowed two runs the whole tournament.
Named to the All-Tournament team was,
Haley Fontenot Tournament MVP,
Madi Baker,
Haley Primrose MVP Pitcher,

Next up the Generals will await the NAIA Selection show to see where and who they will be playing for a chance to go on a run in the NAIA National Tournament.
