Preview | Women's Soccer Hits the Road Over Labor Day Weekend

Presented by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team travels to the University of Mobile (Ala.) and Thomas University (Ga.) over Labor Day Weekend for a pair of non-conference matches.
 
"We are looking forward to a tough road trip this weekend," LSUA Head Coach Mark Hammond said. "The University of Mobile and Thomas University will be two strong opponents. We are continuing to learn and grow as a group and I believe that these two games will be a great measuring stick to see where we are in our development."
 
The Generals are coming off a 2-0 loss to the University of Science and Arts (Okla.).
 
SCOUTING MOBILE
The Rams are 1-0-1 on the season after playing to a 0-0 draw against Louisiana Christian University on August 24. They opened the season with a 3-0 win over Talladega College on August 17.
 
Skylar Bennett, Jil Hellerforth, and Raegan Latiolais have each scored a goal for Mobile. Hellerforth leads the Rams with three points (1G+1A=3TP). The Rams have managed 26 shots, while holding opponents to 12. They have yet to concede a goal.
 
Ebba Elweroth has handled both games in goal for the Rams. She has recorded five saves in a pair of clean sheets.
 
LSUA and Mobile last met on August 26, 2023. The Generals nabbed a 3-2 victory with Micaela Nunes 58th minute goal being the difference maker.
 
Kick-off is set for 5:00 PM.

SCOUTING THOMAS (GA.)
The Night Hawks are 0-1-0 on the season, falling 4-3 to No. 23 Southeastern University on August 24. They host No. 15 Bethel University (Tenn.) on August 31, prior to playing the Generals.
 
Pearl Mortimer scored a pair of goals and added an assist in her side's only game thus far. Kaitlyn Herb also recorded one goal and an assist. The Night Hawks took 17 shots but allowed 22.
 
In goal, Emily Lamoreaux made 10 saves on 14 shots.
 
Monday's meeting between LSUA and Thomas University will be the first match between the two sides. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
