ALEXANDRIA, La. – First half goals from
Adam Sherwood and
Damian Kunc led the Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team over Paul Quinn College, (0-3-1, 0-2-0 RRAC) 3-1.

Mackenzie Young said. "Really happy, really proud of the guys to push through some moments. They conceited a penalty and almost instantly responded, it's the mentality we want this year."
The Generals (3-3-1. 1-0-1 RRAC) opened the scoring on a penalty goal from Sherwood in the 24
th minute.
Kunc's marker came in the 38
th minute. Josh Angel Craven sent a corner kick into the six where Kunc redirected it goalward for a 2-0 lead.
Mackenzie Vincent nearly extended the advantage in the 41
st minute, but Paul Quinn's keeper stymied the opportunity.
Paul Quinn managed just a trio of shots in the opening 45 minutes, while the Generals tallied 10.
The first 15 minutes of the second half delivered no shots for either side, despite pressure being applied on both fronts. Paul Quinn scored its first goal on a penalty kick in the 61
st minute off the boot of Frankie Oviedo. A quick chance for Pablo Dominguez de León afterward was kept out, keeping the score at 2-1.
Sorely Youngs tallied his first goal of the season in the 64
th minute. Agnel Craven laid another corner kick into the box where Youngs bodied it into the back of the net.
Angel Craven finished with two assists.
LSUA totaled 18 shots, eight coming in the second half. They held Paul Quinn to eight shots and conceded only one corner.
The Generals are back at home on Saturday, September 28, against Southwest (N.M.). Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
