ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team is excited to announce its 2025-26 schedule.
LSUA finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 23-9 and an 18-6 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Generals made the program's second NAIA National Tournament appearance.
Prior to the opening of the season, the annual Midday Madness returns on October 15 at noon in The Fort.
"It is going to be good year and the girls have really been working hard during preseason," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "This team will be fun to watch develop because we have the capabilities to play fast or play back to basket basketball. Our preseason games are really going to be really challenging but in way to get us ready for conference play."
The Purple and Gold open the season on October 23 with an exhibition at the University of Louisiana. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM in Lafayette.
Their first regular season game comes on October 31 in Dallas, Texas against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 7:00 PM. The Generals then turn around and take on Texas Wesleyan a day later at 2:00 PM. LSUA stays on the road for two more games on November 6 and November 8 against Loyola University New Orleans and the University of Mobile in New Orleans and Mobile, Alabama, respectively.
The Generals' home opener is scheduled for Friday, November 14, at noon against Faulkner University.
In their final non-conference game, LSUA take on Division I McNeese State University in an exhibition on November 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM in Lake Charles.
November 25 marks the beginning of Red River Athletic Conference play. The Generals open across the Red River at Louisiana Christian University with a 5:30 PM tip-off. LSUA claimed both ends of the season series against the Wildcats last year with an 80-68 victory at home and an 87-81 win across the river.
RRAC play continues on December 4 with a road game against North American University.
On December 11 and December 13, the Generals play their first two home RRAC games against LSU Shreveport and Texas A&M-Texarkana. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM against the Pilots and 1:00 PM against the Eagles.
LSUA heads back on the road for a pair of games against Jarvis Christian University and Texas college on December 18 and December 20. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM against JCU and 1:00 PM against Texas College in the final two games of 2025.
The Generals open 2026 at home against Louisiana Christian University on January 3 at 1:00 PM before taking to the road for a three-game stretch against Our Lady of the Lake, Texas A&M-San Antonio, and Xavier (La.) on January 8, January 10, and January 13.
Eight of the LSUA's next 10 games are at home with four-game home stands interceded by a two-game road stint against Texas A&M-Texarkana and LSU Shreveport on January 29 and January 31.
The first four-game stretch welcomes the University of the Southwest (N.M.) on January 15 before the University of North Texas at Dallas, the RRAC's newest member, comes to The Fort on January 17. North American and Xavier (La.) round out the home stand on January 22 and January 24.
Four teams from the Lone Star State come to The Fort in the second four-game home stand, beginning with Texas College on February 5 and Jarvis Christian on February 7. Texas A&M-San Antonio and Our Lady of the Lake University close the home stand on February 12 and February 14.
LSUA closes out the regular season on the road at the University of North Texas at Dallas on February 19 and the University of Southwest (N.M.) on February 21.
