ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball dropped their home opener, 80-63, to Faulkner University.
The Generals (1-4) were led by
Princis Goff's 14 points.
Sydney Person recorded 11 and
Reese Stephens added 10. The Eagles (5-1) had five players in double digits. Morgan Holland DeWitt recorded a team-high 15.
Faulkner recorded 32 points off turnovers, 23 second chance points, and 29 bench points. The Generals recorded 24 points in the paint, 22 points off turnovers, and 11 bench points.
LSUA led 20-7 after the first quarter and 38-29 at the end of the first half. A 34-8 run for Faulkner in the third quarter put the Eagles ahead 63-46 through three periods. The Eagles and Generals split the fourth quarter, 17-17, as Faulkner held on for the win.
The Generals are back in action on Saturday, November 22, as they travel to NCAA DI McNeese State for an exhibition.
