PINEVILLE, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team swept Louisiana Christian University by taking both ends of their doubleheader, 5-1 and 13-9.
It is the first time the Generals (11-7, 6-0 RRAC) have swept the Wildcats since LCU joined the Red River Athletic Conference.
The win in game two secured Kody Gautreaux's 100
th career victory as the Generals' skipper.
"It was a great day," LSUA Head Coach Kody Gautreaux said. "Anytime you come here, you know it's going to be three tough games. In the first game we were able to jump out to an early lead and just held the whole game. Brenyn [Ebarb] had an amazing performance on the mound and was able to finish the game off for us. Game two was a back and forth battle, we knew it would be. Carter [Fabre] came in and gave us four solid innings which let our offense create some runs.
