SHREVEPORT, LA – The Louisiana State University baseball team dropped the series opener to No. 1 LSU Shreveport, 14-1.
Josh Pierce (3-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed 13 runs on nine hits and five walks.
Peyton Marcantel and
Julien Kliebert had the Generals' (14-16, 8-5 RRAC) only hits.
The Generals' lone run came on a solo shot from Marcantel in the second inning.
The Pilots (27-0, 13-0 RRAC) scored four runs in the first, four in the second, five in the third, and one in the fourth. They recorded three homeruns.
LSUA faces the No. 1 LSUS in a doubleheader tomorrow, March 22, starting at noon from Pilot Field.
