Natt, Jackson Earn LABC Louisiana Small College Player and Coach of the Year

ALEXANDRIA, LA – Dimario Jackson and Kashie Natt of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's basketball team have been named Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches Small College Coach and Player of the Year, respectively.
 
Natt put together one of the most impressive individual campaigns in LSUA history, averaging a double-double with 20 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He started all 32 games for the Generals this season, averaging 26.6 minutes per contest and shooting 47.7% from the floor, 30.6% from beyond the arc, and 76.7% from the free-throw line. He finished the season ranked 32nd nationally in scoring and 12th in rebounding among all 237 NAIA basketball teams.
 
Dominant across all facets of the game, Natt led the Generals this year in scoring (19.9 points per game), rebounding (10.1 per game), assists (104), steals (68), and free-throw percentage (77.5%). He recorded team season-highs in points (36), field goals made (15), free throws made (12), rebounds (18), assists (9), steals (5), and blocks (5). His consistent performances secured him multiple accolades, including RRAC Player of the Year, RRAC Defensive Player of the Year, and RRAC First Team honors.
 
Natt added NABC Player of the Year, First Team NAIA All-American, and NAIA Player of the Year to his awards shelf this season.
 
Jackson guided the Generals to a NAIA Round of Eight appearance and a record of 31-3 on the season. LSUA finished 22-2 in Red River Athletic Conference play and posted a perfect 15-0 record at The Fort. Jackson reached his 50th career victory against Huston-Tillotson University in the RRAC Quarterfinal with a 77-66 win. In two years with LSUA, Jackson has compiled a 55-10 overall record and a 41-6 mark in RRAC contests. LSUA led the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game with 15.2, finished fourth in steals at 10.6, and ninth in rebounding at 41.6 boards per game.
 
It is the second consecutive season Jackson has been named the LABC Louisiana Small College Coach of the Year. Jackson also earned LABC's 2022 Louisiana Class 2A High School Coach of the Year while at Port Allen. He has also claimed a pair of Red River Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors while guiding the Generals to back-to-back regular season and RRAC Tournament titles, as well as RRAC Coach of the Year honors.
 
Jackson and Natt will be recognized at the LABC's 51st annual awards banquet on May 3.
