ALEXANDRIA, LA – Freshman
Kanu Rajawat and
Nahia Echaide of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team have been named NAIA All-Americans.
"It's amazing what those two girls have done this year as freshmen," LSUA Head Coach
Melinda Descant said.
Rajawat earned NAIA First Team All-American and holds the No. 35 ranking in the ITA NAIA Women's Tennis Singles rankings. She was named First Team All-RRAC and RRAC Freshman of the Year.
Echaide was named NAIA Second Team All-American and is ranked No. 36 in ITA NAIA Women's Tennis singles.
The duo are No. 22 in ITA's NAIA Women's Tennis Doubles rankings. They are two of just seven freshmen named NAIA All-Americans. Rajawat is one of three to be named First Team, while Echaide was the only freshman in the Second Team.
