THE GENERALS
LSUA split a pair of games last week and are now 9-6 on the season and 6-3 in RRAC play.
Kaleb Pouncy led the Generals with 14 points in their 79-62 win over Texas A&M-San Antonio. He was joined by
Jordan Decuir (10),
TJ James (10), and
Javon Smith (10) in double digits.
The Generals are averaging 78.7 points per game and allowing 75.9.
EJ McQuillan leads the offense with 21.9 points per game. Decuir is in second at 14.8. James leads the rebounding effort, hauling in 7.4 boards per game.
SCOUTING XAVIER (LA)
The Gold Rush are 9-4 on the season and 6-2 in RRAC contests. They are 6-2 when playing at home.
Xavier (La.) averages 80.2 points per game and allows 75.1. They are shooting 43.9 percent from the floor as a unit. Bentravin Phillips leads the Gold Rush in scoring, averaging 14.9 points per game. Seiuhn Turner (13.1), Nasir De Gruy (13.1), and Elijah Tate (10.8) are also averaging double-digit scoring efforts.
Jamal Gibson is averaging 10.6 rebounds per game and has recorded 10 or more rebounds in three consecutive games.
The Generals are 9-3 against Xavier (La.) since 2016. They are 4-2 when playing on the road in New Orleans.
SCOUTING SOUTHWEST (N.M.)
The Mustangs are 4-12 on the season and 1-9 in RRAC play. They have lost their last six games and are 0-8 when playing on the road.
Ejay Scroggins leads Southwest's (N.M.) offense, averaging 18.8 points per game. Kevin Boone (10.7) and Jalen Williams (10.3) are also averaging double digits. Boone leads the Mustangs with 6.6 rebounds per game.
Southwest (N.M.) is averaging 78.38 points per game and allowing 82.38.
LSUA is 23-2 all-time against the Mustangs. They have won the last six meetings and are 14-0 when playing in The Fort. The Generals are 9-1 in the last 10 meetings.
