#2 GENERALS
LSUA advanced to the RRAC Semifinal with an 83-69 win over seven-seed Jarvis Christian University. The Generals are now 22-7 on the season.
EJ McQuillan led the Generals (22-7) with 23 points. He added six assists, four rebounds, and one steal to his ledger.
Courtney McCarthy (17) and
PD McCraney (13) also finished in double digits. LSUA recorded 26 points in the paint, 16 points off turnovers, and the bench recorded 41 points.
The Generals won both ends of the season series against Xavier (La.). They recorded a 69-63 win in New Orleans on January 13 and a 95-93 win in The Fort two weeks later.
SCOUTING #3 XAVIER (LA)
The Gold Rush earned a 68-58 win over UNT Dallas in the RRAC Quarterfinal. The victory pushed XULA to a 20-win season with a record of 20-9.
Four players finished in double digits. Both Kerel Dean and Nasir DeGruy totaled 14 points, while Bentravin Phillips (13) and Seviuhn Turner (10) rounded out the double-digit efforts.
Xavier (La.) outscored the six-seeded Trailblazers 43-35 in the first half. Both offenses went quiet in the second half recording a combined 48 points with a two-point edge, 25-23 to XULA.
The Gold Rush average 79.2 points per game and allow 71.2. They are shooting 45.2-percent as a team. XULA has a -2.2 rebounding margin, being out rebounded by their opponents 39.1 to 36.3.
