ALEXANDRIA, LA – Two Louisiana State University of Athletics women's tennis players earned International Tennis Association and NAIA All-America honors.
The criteria for ITA All-American singles honors are finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA National Singles Rankings.
Nahia Echaide and
Isabella Stuurman were named ITA NAIA Women's Singles All-Americans. Echaide was also named a First Team NAIA All-American, while Stuurman earned Third Team NAIA All-American honors.
"We are very excited for both Nahia and Isabella on well-deserved selections as ITA All-Americans," LSUA Head Coach
Melinda Descant said. "They both had fantastic seasons and we are proud of what they have accomplished."
Echaide is ranked No. 7 in the latest ITA NAIA Women's Singles poll and finished the year with a 15-3 record. She was named the RRAC Player of the Year and First Team All-RRAC honors this season and earned NAIA Second Team All-American honors last year.
Stuurman posted a record of 13-5 this season and finished No. 17 in the ITA NAIA Women's Singles poll. She was an All-RRAC First Team selection this season as well.
