Women's Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team is excited to announce its schedule for the 2026 season.

The Generals posted an 11-8-1 record in 2025 and finished 8-2-1 in Red River Athletic Conference play. They were 7-2-0 when playing at home.

"We are super excited about the upcoming season," LSUA Head Coach Mark Hammond said. "The squad will be jumping straight into some great competition with two scrimmages against two strong junior college programs in Angelina College and LSU Eunice. We believe these two games will get us prepared for our tough regular season games. We start with three away games which will be a great opportunity for us to gain experience of traveling as a group and looking to get some roads wins. Our home opener will be against Bethel, which is a fantastic opposition to have play at the Generals Field. Another two massive away day trips to Hattiesburg against William Carey and Marshall, Texas against Wiley College which will replicate similar away trips we will face in the RRAC. We then finish our non-conference schedule with three home games against the best of best in the Sooner Conference. We believe these games will have us ready to start the RRAC schedule starting in late September."

"We have some tough away trips like traveling to San Antonio early in the season, which is always a great indicator to how we will compete for a regular season title. We also travel to Texarkana which we've had a fantastic series of games with the past few years. We have some massive home games against North American, LCU, and ending the season with LSU-Shreveport which could be a title decider. We hope to have the soccer community of Central Louisiana to come out and support the Generals during these huge RRAC home games. We know this schedule will be a fantastic way for us to prepare and learn about what character we have in this squad so we can be ready to achieve our team goals."

LSUA opens 2026 with a pair of scrimmages against Angelina College and LSU Eunice on August 12 and August 15.

The 2026 regular season begins in earnest on August 21 on the road and under the lights with a 7:00 PM kick-off against Freed-Hardeman University. The Generals and Lions have met only once previously, a 3-0 win for LSUA back in 2017 in Henderson, Tennessee.
