Lafayette, LA- The Generals took a break from conference play to travel down to the Cajundome to take on the Ragin Cajuns of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Despite holding a short lead and keeping it a close game at first, the Generals fell to the Cajuns 81-50.Â

Although it was Cajuns, Wheaton, who started off the game with the first bucket putting the Cajuns up 2-0 against the Generals,
Jewel Jones was able to answer back with a 3-pointer that came off a turnover from the Cajuns. Generals were able to execute another 3-pointer from Harrison making the game now 2-6 Generals with 4:24 left to play in the first quarter. It wasn't until the very last second of the first quarter that the Cajuns were able to regain the lead going into the second quarter 14-13. During the 2
nd quarter the Cajuns were able to pull away from the Generals, going into halftime with a 10-point lead, score now 38-28.

Coming out of half-time the Generals began to turn cold on the offensive end and had 16 out of their 37 turnovers on the night. Cajuns were able to execute off these turnovers, ultimately sealing the win.

Alex Harrison was able to lead the Generals with 14 points on the night and
Gracelyn Adams was also able to chip in with 10 points of her own. Overall, the Generals did not have their best night offensively as they only shot a 36.6% on the night.

"I am proud of the effort from the girls tonight, "said Perkins, "we've played 3 games in 5 days, and I know the fatigue started to set in, but these girls battled tonight just like they have been. We still have a lot of work to do, but I'm happy with the progress we've been making and the ability to keep building."

The Generals will be on the road for the OLLU invitational beginning on December 30
th in San Antonio, TX. Generals will face Texas Wesleyan on the first day, tip-off is set for 3:00 PM.Â
