ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team has announced its incoming class for the 2026-27 season.
 
The Generals have signed seven players for the upcoming year to complement their roster.
 
Tonka Jakšic is a 5-foot-8 guard from Split, Croatia. She joins LSUA from NCAA Division II Eastern New Mexico University. She appeared in 47 games over two seasons for the Greyhounds and shot 41.7-percent from the field. Jakšic tallied 31 assists, 33 steals, and 45 rebounds over two seasons. The Split, Croatia native has garnered four gold medals, six silver medals, and two bronze medals for Croatia at National Championships. The junior guard most recently represented Croatia at the FIBA Women's Eurobasket 2026. Croatia reached the quarterfinals after eliminating Latvia in the Round of 16. Jakšic made six appearances in the tournament and scored 15 points. She registered nine points against Spain in the group phase, knocking down a trio of shots from long range.

Coach Perkins on Jakšic: "Tonka is going to be a great addition to team. She is going to help bring some depth to our team. She will help us spreads the floor out with her shooting and will be everywhere on the floor."
 
Ja'Mya Garland is a 6-foot-2 center from Gurdon, Arkansas. She joins the Generals from Allen Community College. During her high school career at Gurdon, Garland averaged 11.3 points per game, 10.7 rebounds per game, 2.7 steals, and 3.3 blocks. She earned 2A-8 All-State Honorable Mention and all-conference honors.
 
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it just felt right. The Coaches made me feel wanted, the campus felt like home, and I could see myself growing there for the next few years. I'm excited to be a part of a program that believes in me to continue my journey as a student-athlete.
 
Coach Perkins on Garland: "Ja'Mya is going to be able to helps on both ends of the floor. Her length and her ability to get up will be a huge benefit to us. She will be exciting to watch."
 
Mollie Miller is a 5-foot-6 guard from Oregon City, Oregon. She joins the Generals from Clackamas Community College.  Miller was a Three Rivers Player of the Year selection for Oregon City High School, earned a pair of Three Rivers First Team selections and All-State Honorable Mention honors. Miller was named the NWAC Southern Region Freshman of the Year and earned a pair of First Team All-Region selections while at Clackamas.
 
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I really enjoyed the community and how family oriented everything is. That I s something I was looking for and I am glad I found it in LSUA."
 
Coach Perkins on M. Miller: "Mollie is going to be fun to watch. She can score but does a good job getting others involved. We are lucky to have her on our team."
 
Kodi Miller is a 5-foot-4 guard from Simpson, Louisiana. She joins LSUA from Simpson High School. Miller earned a pair of First Team All-State selections, a First Team All-District selection, a pair of Second Team All-District honors, and a First and Second Team All-Parish selection during her career at Simpson.
 
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because the people are so welcoming and it is a great environment."
 
Coach Perkins on K. Miller: "Kodi is going to bring speed and defensive pressure to our team. She comes from a winning program which will carry over to our program. We are very glad Kodi is here."
 
Molly Axell is a 5-foot-8 guard from Stockholm, Sweden. She joins the Generals from North Idaho College. Axell appeared in 44 games over two seasons with the Cardinals. She registered 118 points, 40 rebounds, 17 assists, and 12 steals.
 
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because I wanted to continue my schooling while playing basketball at a place where I have room to develop, grow, and a place I can call home."
 
Coach Perkins on Molly: "Molly is a good addition to our team. She shoots the deep ball well and well get out and run the floor. Her experience will be a great asset to us."
 
Khouri White is a 5-foot-4 guard from Houston, Texas. She joins the Generals from Louisburg College. White earned All-Region honors while at Louisburg. She was named Freshman of the Year while at Lamar High School. In two seasons at Louisburg, White appeared in 46 games and started 38. She averaged 10.5 points per game. White recorded 86 rebounds, 77 assists, and 35 steals.
 
Why LSUA? "I chose LSUA because it felt like a place where I wouldn't just be another number. I wanted a school where I can stay focused, grow, and actually build real connections while working towards my goals – all while playing the sport I love! LSUA felt like the right fit for that."
 
Coach Perkins on White: "Khouri is going to help bring some experience, she is a two-way player that will help us improve on both ends of the floor. She will be a fun player to watch."
 
Kenzie Marceaux is a 5-foot-9 guard from Maurice, Louisiana. She joins LSUA from North Vermilion High School. Marceaux earned 4A First Team All-District honors, a District MVP, a First Team All-Metro selection, Parish MVP, First Team All-Parish, and All-State Honorable Mention for North Vermilion.
 
Why LSUA? "I love the small town feel of LSUA's campus and I feel my skill set matches Coach Perkins' style of play. I had the chance to meet some of the team and talk one-on-one with Coach Perkins and I felt it was a great fit."
 
Coach Perkins on Marceaux: "Kenzie has played a lot of basketball. Her length and her athletic ability are a huge benefit to our team. I can't wait to see what she will bring to the team."
 
The Generals open their season on October 22 with an exhibition at the University of Louisiana Lafayette, before their regular season opener on October 30 at Faulkner (Ala.).
