Box Score HAWKINS, TX- General Jason Perry spoke earlier this week on how collectively the team needed to improve on being able to "stop blowing leads and be better at closing out games", and that's exactly what the Generals were able to do against the Bulldogs, winning 85-73.
 
Behind Kashie Natt's 21-point performance on the night, the Generals were able to pull away from the Bulldogs early in the first half, going into half-time leading 41-28. 
 
Coming out of half-time, the Bulldogs although down 13 points, came out as if the score was 0-0. 
 
A Generals turnover at the beginning of the half sparked a 5-point run for the Bulldogs. However, with a few adjustments on both the offensive and defensive side, the Generals soon found their rhythm again pulling away to seal the road win.
 
"Overall, it was a good team win", said Cordaro, "Everyone got to see the floor and make a contribution. However, there is still a lot we have to work on and a lot more basketball to be played. We just have to take things day by day and continue to build".
 
The Generals will return to action this Saturday, traveling to Tyler, TX on January 14^th. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM at Texas College.
