ALEXANDRIA, LA- There's no better place to kick off the first match up of the Red River Rivalry against the LCU Wildcats than home at The Fort. 
 
Since joining the Red River conference last year, the Generals and Wildcats are 1-1 on their match ups, as the Generals we able to defend The Fort last season but fell to the Wildcats when traveling over to the H.O. West Fieldhouse.
 
4-12 overall on the season and 3-6 in conference play, the Generals have been building brick by brick each game under new coach, Billy Perkins. After playing 16 games, the Generals are averaging 61 points per game, shooting 37% from the field and 33% from the 3-point range. Alex Harrison, Dannah Martin-Hartwick, and Amani Gray have been a triple-threat on offense leading the way in scoring, but we've also seen a recent spark from Raegan Ojoro who has had two consecutive double-doubles.
 
The Wildcats are currently 8-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play on the 2022-2023 season. Averaging 68 points per game overall on the season thanks to the help of their leading scorer, Miya McKinney. The 5'9 Graduate Student from Ville Platte, LA currently averages 15 points per game and 11 rebounds.
