HAWKINS, Texas – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria's women's soccer team tallied a pair of late goals as they defeated Jarvis Christian University, 2-0.

Jessie Eijbersen's 76
th minute goal gave the Generals (5-3-1. 4-0-1 RRAC) a 1-0 lead over the Bulldogs (2-6-1, 1-4-1 RRAC).
Alexia Bermejo Jo sent a ball into the attacking third for Eijbersen, who broke through the back line and beat the keeper 1-on-1 for the goal.
The 83
rd minute gave LSUA a bit of breathing room.
Fenja Leibner tallied her first goal as a General, extending the lead to 2-0.
The Generals peppered the Bulldogs' keeper, forcing her to make seven stops on the afternoon. Eijbersen led LSU with three shots on goal, while
Elke Tijink totaled four shots with two on frame. LSUA finished with 16 shots, nine of which were on goal.
Victoria Weber (5-1-1) made one save and earned her fourth clean sheet of the season.
LSUA is back at home next week for a pair of Red River Athletic Conference matches. The Generals host the Louisiana State University of Shreveport at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, at the Generals Soccer Field.
