HOUSTON, Texas – Sacha Backus scored a pair of goals as the Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team closed the regular season with a 4-0 win over North American University.

Mark Hammond said. "We got the result we needed and continued the momentum we've built for the conference tournament."
The Generals (10-5-2, 9-2-2 RRAC) clinched the fourth seed in the 2024 RRAC Championship with the victory.
Mother Nature intervened in the contest, forcing the match to be called after the 75 minutes.
LSUA finished with 12 shots, eight of which were on goal. The Stallions (1-11-1, 3-13-2 RRAC) were held to four shots, all of them on target.
Meike Van Straten made three saves and earned her first win of the season.
Hille Baumfalk opened the scoring for the Generals in the 19
th minute. She took a pass from
Shealbie Whatley and buried her shot.
Backus was next on the score sheet. Her first goal came in the 36
th minute and the second in the 44
th minute, just prior to half time. Backus also picked up an assist on the Generals' third goal of the contest from
Alexia Bermejo Jo.
The Generals host the Opening Round of the 2024 Red River Athletic Conference Championship against Texas A&M-Texarkana.
