ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team closes the 2024 calendar year with an exhibition against NCAA Division I Louisiana Tech, before opening 2025 against LSU Shreveport in a return to Red River Athletic Conference play.
"La. Tech will be a tough game but it is a good game back from the break," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "LSU Shreveport will be a good challenge for us as they are one of the top teams in the RRAC."
The Generals (11-4, 8-3 RRAC) split their last two RRAC games before the break. They are coming off a 72-56 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University.
SCOUTING LOUISIANA TECH
The Lady Techsters are 6-4 on the year. Monday's contest against the Generals is their final game before they open Conference USA play. The Lady Techsters are coming off a 112-42 victory over Central Baptist. They are 5-1 when playing at home in the Thomas Assembly Center.
La. Tech averages 65.7 points per game, while allowing 64.6. The Lady Techsters are shooting 41.4 percent from the floor as a unit. Four players average 10 or more points per game. Jordan Marshall leads the offensive at 13 points per game, while Robyn Lee and Jianna Morris are both scoring 11.6 per game. Paris Bradley rounds out the double-digit scorers, tallying 10.1 points per night. Lee leads the Lady Techsters in shooting, knocking down shots a 44.3 percent clip.
Marshall also leads the Lady Techsters in rebounding, hauling down 8.7 boards per game. She has notched 87 rebounds, 28 of which have been offensive. The Lady Techsters hold a +3.5 margin in rebounding, 39.0 to 35.5, over their opponents on the season.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, at the Thomas Assembly Center.

SCOUTING (RV) LSU SHREVEPORT
The (RV) Pilots are 11-3 on the year with a 10-1 mark in RRAC play. They have won their last six games and are a perfect 6-0 on the road.
LSUS averages 68.9 points per game, while allowing just 53.9. The Pilots are shooting 42.5 percent from the floor as a unit. Serma Markisic leads the scoring at 11.9 points per game. Behind her is Helena Galunic with 11.4 points per game. Paula Gonzalez Herrero comes in just shy of double digits, putting up 9.6 points. Gaulinc is knocking down nearly half of her shots on the season, shooting 47 percent from the floor.
She also leads the Pilots in rebounding, hauling in 6.9 rebounds per game. The Pilots hold a 37.4 to 33.7 edge over their opponents in rebounding.
The Generals are 5-20 against the Pilots all-time. The last win for the Generals came on January 16, 2020, in a 104-82 victory. LSUA has lost the last 11 games against LSU Shreveport.
