ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team hosts Paul Quinn College and the University of the Southwest (N.M.) in a pair of Red River Athletic Conference games.
"This week is going to be a challenge because both Paull Quinn and Southwest play fast basketball," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "We just need to stay focused and execute on both ends of the floor."
The Generals (15-5, 12-4 RRAC) are coming off am 87-81 victory over Louisiana Christian University. LSUA swept the Red River Rivalry.
Benedetta Peracchi earned RRAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring 24 points and shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the field against the Wildcats.
SCOUTING PAUL QUINN
Paul Quinn enters the week with a record of 9-11. They are 8-9 in RRAC play.
The Tigers are averaging 64.5 points per game and shooting 37.1 percent from the field. Canai McPherson leads PQC in scoring, averaging 18 points per game. Cierra Taylor rounds out the double-digit scorers, racking up 10.2 points per game. McPherson is shooting 39.6 percent from the floor, while Taylor is converting shots at a clip of 38.8 percent.
Zaire Brown leads Paul Quinn in rebounding, hauling in 9.0 rebounds per game. Adrianna Belton sits in second at 5.8 boards.
The Generals are 14-3 all-time against Paul Quinn. They have won the last seven meetings, including the reverse fixture earlier this season. When playing at The Fort, LSUA is 7-1.

Beverly Bradley (5.8) and Arguellez (5.3) lead the Mustangs in rebounding. They also lead Southwest (N.M.) in steals, averaging 1.2 and 2.0 steals per game, respectively.
The Generals are 18-3 against the Mustangs all-time. They have won the last four meetings. When playing at The Fort, LSUA is 11-1.
