Box Score NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team's ninth inning rally lifted them to a 6-4 victory over Southern University at New Orleans.
 
The Generals (8-7, 3-0 RRAC) scored four runs in the ninth inning, while James Gay slammed the door with bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.
 
"It was great to compete in our first midweek game of the season," LSUA Head Coach Kody Gautreaux said. "We had a lot of arms that not gotten many opportunities go out and compete. Our offense was able to score enough runs to win.  A very good team win and we are excited for the weekend."
 
LSUA travels across the river for a three game series against Louisiana Christian University on Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22. First pitch is scheduled for noon on Friday.
