ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team takes on Dillard University in a non-conference dual at the Alexandria Aquatics Center on Tuesday, February 25.
 
"We're ready to get our NAIA season started," LSUA Head Coach Melinda Descant said. "Our conference has grown in size as well as level of play in the last five years so there is a lot of competition in the Red River Athletic Conference. Dillard's level of play as increased from year to year and they will be a tough team again this year. We've prepared well and are ready to compete tomorrow."
 
Tuesday's match is the first NAIA match of the season for the Generals.
 
SCOUTING DILLARD
The Bleu Devils are 5-3 on the year. They swept Millsaps 8-0 in their last outing on Sunday, February 23.
 
Dillard is 10-2 in singles and 3-2 in doubles play. Hang Nguyen is 2-0 for the Bleu Devils in singles and has swept all four of her singles sets with a 24-8 games record. She has also posted a 1-0 record in doubles, winning her only set. Weichiao Chao is also 2-0 in singles with a 4-0 record across singles sets. Messaline Ferret has recorded a pair of singles victories and hold a 4-1 set record.
 
The Generals are 3-1 against the Bleu Devils since 2022. Two out of the last three wins over Dillard have been sweeps.
 
First serve is scheduled for 12:30 PM.
