ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team travels to North American University and Huston-Tillotson University for a pair of Red River Athletic Conference games.
"This week we have two slid opponents that are in the middle of the RRAC," LSUA Head Coach Billy Perkins said. "Both teams are very athletic and quick up the floor. It is going to be a challenging week."
The Generals (17-5, 14-4 RRAC) are coming off a pair of wins against Paul Quinn College, 80-69, and the University of the Southwest, 83-67.
SCOUTING NORTH AMERICAN UNIVERSITY
The Mustangs enter the week with a 10-13 record. They are 6-12 in RRAC play and have lost their last two games against Our Lady of the Lake, 83-70, and Texas A&M-San Antonio, 75-61.
North American is averaging 67.2 points per game and are shooting 39.2% as a team. Elisa Peralta leads the Mustangs in scoring, averaging 11.2 points per game. She's shooting 41.5% from the floor. Victoria Moore (9.7) and Maurdaisha Powell (9.0) round out the top three scorers for NAU.
Keasia Robinson leads the Mustangs in rebounding. She averages 7.2 bords per game. Robinson has hauled in 166 rebounds, 64 of which have been offensive. The Mustangs are out rebounding their opposition this season by a margin of 40.1 to 38.4.
The Generals are 2-1 against the Mustangs all-time. They lost the last outing, 71-69, on December 14, 2024.
Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM on Thursday, February 6, at the Stafford Municipal School District Gymnasium.

SCOUTING HUSTON TILLOTSON UNIVERSITY
The Rams are 9-12 on the season and 8-10 in RRAC play. They are 5-5 when playing at home.
Huston-Tillotson is averaging 62.4 points per game and shooting 33.2% from the floor. Wilashia Burleson leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game. She is shooting 47.9% from the field. Summer Thomas (11.7) and Aliyah Carter (11.6) are also averaging t double digits in scoring. The pair are shooting 39.8% and 34.9% respectively.
Burleson also leads the Rams in rebounding, hauling in 7.7 boards per game. Thomas sits in second at 7.0, while Carter is third at 6.4 boards per game. The Rams hold a slight rebounding edge over their opponents, 42.4 to 41.9.
The Generals are 10-7 all-time against the Rams. They have won the last four contests.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM at Branch Gymnasium on Saturday, February 8.
