PREVIEW | No. 10 Tennis Hosts LSUA Tournament

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 10 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team hosts a trio of duals as part of the LSUA Tournament this week.

LAST TIME OUT
The Generals have moved up two spots to No. 10 in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the NAIA announced Wednesday, March 26.
 
Nahia Echaide (No. 33) and Kanu Rajawat (No. 52) earned their first ITA NAIA Singles rankings last week. LSUA fell in their lone match of the week to No. 4 Southeastern, 4-3.
 
Belen Blasco and Isabella Stuurman were the only Generals doubles pairing to record a victory. They took down Neieah Neiberine and Chloe Do Largo in No. 3 Doubles, 6-4.
 
Rajawat picked up a 6-4, 6-4 victory in No. 2 Singles over Isabella Bolivar. In No. 3 Singles, Blasco notched a 6-4, 7-6, [7-4] victory over Neiberine. Joline Roesch won 6-1, 6-0 over Do Largo in No. 6 Singles.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-TEXARKANA
The Eagles are 9-5 on the season and have won two of their last five matches. The last four wins for TAMUT have been 7-0 sweeps.
 
TAMUT is 31-21-8 in singles and 14-14-2 in doubles. Meghan Connolly leads the Eagles at 7-2 in singles and is 6-2-1 in doubles. Adrianne Guangko has recorded a 6-3-1 singles record.
 
SCOUTING LSU SHREVEPORT
The Pilots are 6-2 on the year and had won four straight matches prior to a 4-1 loss against Our Lady of the Lake.
 
Pierina Lescher has a World Tennis Number of 19.97. Behind her are Angela Basto (21.38) and Maike Tiemersma (22.38).
 
The Pilots have a team WTN of 22.82.
 
SCOUTING XAVIER (LA.)
The Gold Nuggets are 9-8 on the season and have won their last two matches.
 
Amira Bergaoui leads XULA with a WTN of 18.46. Mbali Langa (20.69) and McKenna Wheatley (21.87) round out the top three.
 
Xavier (La.) has a team WTN of 21.79.
