FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The No. 12 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team swept Lewis-Clark State College, 7-0, at the Steve Foster Invitational.
In doubles,
Nahia Echaide and
Joline Roesch took down Heidi Moyo and Beatriz Lambru, 6-3, in the top doubles spot.
Kanu Rajawat and
Gianna Panaggio recorded a 6-3 victory over April Buckingham and Paige Noble-Lucas.
Belen Blasco and
Isabella Stuurman won 6-2 over Luciana Marzani and Rayana Shah in No. 3 Doubles.
Echaide took her singles match 6-2, 6-3 over Lambru for the Generals first singles point. Rajawat took down Shah 6-0, 6-4 in No. 2 Singles. Blasco won the third singles match 6-1, 6-3 over Moyo.
Panaggio battled Noble-Lucas in No. 4 Singles. She took set one 7-6, [13-11]. Noble-Lucas claimed set two, 6-3. Panaggio claimed the tiebreaker, 18-16 for a 7-6 [13-11], 3-6, [18-16] victory.
Stuurman swept Gwyn Heim in No. 5 Singles, 6-0, 6-0. Roesch won 6-1, 6-4 in No. 6 Singles over Carisa Liebenberg.
The Generals take on William Woods University on Friday, March 7, in their next dual of the Steve Foster Invitational.
