Box Score HAWKINS, TX -- The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team picked up a 22-11 win over Jarvis Christian University in the series opener.
"Today waas a good day," said LSUA Head Coach Kody Gautreaux. "Offensively, we were able to execute our plan early and jump out to a big lead with
Josh Pierce on the mound. I'm proud of our guys and how we played today but we have to stay focused and go and do it again tomorrow."
The Generals (21-20, 14-8 RRAC) collected 14 hits.
Julien Kliebert notched three RBI knocks, including a three-run triple, to drive in five runs.
Blaise Foote and
Zach Mengarelli both hit big flies.
Kliebert's three-run triple came came as part of a 10-run third inning for the Generals. Foote's homerun came in the second, while Mengarelli's came in the fifth.
Josh Pierce (6-4) went five innings for the win. He allowed five runs and struck out five.
