PREVIEW | Women's Tennis Enters 2025 RRAC Championship as Top Seed

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team enters the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship in San Antonio, Texas as the top seed. The 2025 RRAC Women's Tennis Championship is held at the Blossom Tennis Center and hosted by Our Lady of the Lake University.
 
The opening match of the 2025 RRAC Women's Tennis Championship is held Wednesday, April 16, at 11:00 a.m. between nine-seeded Rust and 10-seeded Northern New Mexico.
 
One-seeded LSUA players the winner of Rust and Northern New Mexico at 8:00 AM on Thursday, April 17, in the quarterfinals.
 
Four-seeded LSU Shreveport takes on five-seeded Louisiana Christian. Two-seeded Xavier plays seven-seeded Texas A&M-Texarkana. Three-seeded Dillard and six-seeded Our Lady of the Lake round out the quarterfinals.
 
The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, April 18, at 2:00 p.m. with the finals on Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Generals are 7-4 on the season and went 4-2 against RRAC and affiliated opponents.  LSUA took down Texas A&M-Texarkana, 5-0, Xavier (La.), 4-2, and LSU Shreveport, 4-3, over the course of the year.
 
In singles, Belen Blasco has won her last six matches, while Isabella Stuurman and Nahia Echaide have won five of their last six singles matches. Joline Roesch is six for her last seven matches. Kanu Rajawat has five wins in her last seven appearances, while Gianna Panaggio has recorded six wins in her last eight matches.
 
Alongside one-seeded LSUA, Xavier (La.), Dillard, LSU Shreveport, Louisiana Christian, Our Lady of the Lake, Texas A&M-Texarkana, Lewis-Clark State College, Rust, and Northern New Mexico qualified for the tournament. Dillard, Lewis-Clark State College, and Northern New Mexico are affiliate members.
