Box Score ALEXANDRIA, LA – The one-seeded Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team opened the 2025 Red River Athletic Conference Championship with a 4-0 win over Rust College.
The Generals (8-4, 4-2 RRAC) captured the doubles point with a 6-0 win from
Gianna Panaggio and
Joline Roesch.
Nahia Echaide and
Kanu Rajawat were ahead 4-1 when Panaggio and Roesch clinched the doubles point as Rust forfeited the third pairing.
In singles, Rust forfeited the fifth and sixth spots, putting LSUA ahead 3-0. Panaggio swept the No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the quarterfinals victory.
Echaide was ahead 4-3 in No. 1 Singles, while Rajawat was up 6-1, 5-0 in the number two spot.
Belen Blasco was also leading, 6-2, in the third singles match when Panaggio clinched.
LSUA takes on Louisiana Christian in a rematch of their regular season final in the RRAC Semifinals at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18.
