PREVIEW | Baseball Heads to RRAC Championship as Five-Seed

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team enters the Red River Athletic Conference Championship as the five-seed and takes on four-seeded Our Lady of the Lake University.

THE GENERALS
The Generals enter the tournament with a record of 23-26 and are 16-14 in RRAC play.
 
Luke Benoit (.314), Blaise Foote (.313), and Julien Kliebert (.307) are all hitting above .300. Foote leads LSUA with 11 home runs and 54 runs batted in. Kliebert is 18-for-21 in stolen base attempts. LSUA is slashing .283/.419/.430 as a team and have scored 369 runs.
 
On the mound, William Vice leads the Generals with a record of 4-3 and an ERA of 6.83. He has recorded 60 strikeouts on the season. Josh Pierce enters the tournament with a record of 6-6 over 72.2 innings. He has fanned 69 hitters and tossed two complete games.
 
SCOUTING OUR LADY OF THE LAKE
The Saints are 28-21 on the season with a record of 20-10 in RRAC play. They have won their last seen contests.
 
As a team, OLLU is slashing .301/.417/.424. Jack Kalisky leads the Saints' offense with an average of .369. He also leads OLLU in home runs (15) and runs batted in (65). Drew Saucedo has a team-high 14 stolen bases.
 
On the mound, the Saints have an ERA of 5.51 and a WHIP of 1.71. Donovan Gamez leads the Saints with an ERA of 3.76 over 79.0 innings of work. He is 10-3 on the year with a WHIP of 1.32 and 81 strikeouts. Devin Benavides leads OLLU in innings pitched with 87.1 innings and a record of 9-4. He has struck out 73 hitters and posted an ERA of 4.02 and a WHIP 1.53.

RRAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2025 RRAC Baseball Championship is held at Sterlington Sports Complex in Sterlington, hosted by LSU Shreveport.
 
LSU Shreveport enters the tournament as the number one seed and a record of 46-0 on the season. Houston-Victoria is the two-seed with Texas A&M-Texarkana at three. Southwest, Louisiana Christian, and Huston-Tillotson round out the final three spots in the tournament.
